One of the sacks, Dear Zoo, was completed by Anne Taylor before she left the group, and the other I'm Not Scary has been made by Jenny Howarth. Many were inspired by suggestions for Olympic postcards, and they will be working on them at the January meeting.
Not only did she keep us occupied with learning the stitches we needed to work our piece of work, but she kept us entertained with her sense of humour. We did not finish our piece of work, but went away inspired to continue with this enjoyable method of embroidery.
Kaffe Fassett will be giving a talk in September and tickets are available from January.
Pictures of their completed Olympic Postcards were on display see photographs and there was a competition for a gift bag.
